Day 01 :
Arrival and Welcome.

The tour starts at the Gran Meliá Arusha. Complimentary transportation from Kilimanjaro International Airport to the Gran Meliá Arusha Hotel is provided. Arusha, located at the base of Mount Meru, serves as the gateway to your safari adventure.

Day 02 :
Lake Manyara National Park

Our Tanzanian safari adventure begins as the immense Serengeti calls to you. Embark on your initial game drive through Lake Manyara National Park, where you may spot giraffes, baboons, hippos, elephants, and an array of bird species. Afterward, you'll arrive in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to roughly 30,000 large mammals. Your accommodation for the next two nights is perched on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, providing a spectacular view of the caldera below—perfect for our welcome reception and dinner.

Day 03 :
Ngorongoro Crater

Regarded by some as Africa's original "Garden of Eden," the Ngorongoro Crater is among the world's largest calderas, boasting diverse ecosystems and an impressive array of birds and wildlife. In your four-wheel-drive vehicle, customized exclusively for Cyan Tours & Travel you'll have an exceptional vantage point for viewing large herds of zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles. The area also offers a chance to see the Big Five—elephants, leopards, lions, buffaloes, and rhinoceroses. Today, enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater.

Day 04 :
Serengeti National Park by air

Today, you'll catch a morning flight from Lake Manyara to the core of Serengeti National Park. En route, you'll soar over Oldupai Gorge, the renowned archaeological site where, more than 50 years ago, Louis and Mary Leakey uncovered fossilized remains of some of the earliest human species, dating back approximately 1.8 million years. Arrive at the Four Seasons safari lodge in the Serengeti for a three-night stay. After an afternoon game drive in the national park, join us for a special barbecue dinner at the lodge's Boma Grill tonight, complete with a traditional Maasai dance performance.

Day 05 :
Serengeti National Park

Today, explore the expansive savanna of the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives, searching for wildlife that may include lions, zebras, hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, jackals, gazelles, and giraffes. As the sun sets, casting vibrant hues across the sky, enjoy the spectacle from the comfort of your lodge in Serengeti National Park. For dinner this evening, choose from various restaurants at the lodge.

Day 06 :
Serengeti additional game drive.

Today, explore the expansive savanna of the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives, searching for wildlife that may include lions, zebras, hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, jackals, gazelles, and giraffes. As the sun sets, casting vibrant hues across the sky, enjoy the spectacle from the comfort of your lodge in Serengeti National Park. For dinner this evening, choose from various restaurants at the lodge.

Day 07 :
Crossing over to Kenya's Amboseli National Park

Bid farewell to the Serengeti as you take a flight to Arusha, Tanzania, on your way to Kenya. The majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, rising over 15,000 feet, provides a stunning backdrop as you approach. Upon arrival in Arusha, savor an early lunch at the Cultural Heritage Center, then travel overland to Kenya to start a two-night stay at your safari lodge in Amboseli National Park. This park is renowned for its free-ranging elephant herds and diverse wildlife. Before dinner, enjoy a private lecture about the elephants of Amboseli and the anti-poaching initiatives in Kenya. Later, dine at your leisure at the lodge.

Day 08 :
Amboseli Game drive and a Visit to Masai Village.

Private safari game drives in Amboseli National Park provide plenty of chances to observe elephants, hippos, and buffaloes congregating around the park’s natural watering holes, along with graceful antelopes grazing in the flat grasslands. Start your day with an early morning visit to a Maasai village, followed by a morning game drive. Afterward, head back to your lodge for some downtime before lunch. Enjoy another game drive in the afternoon and then spend the rest of the day relaxing at your lodge as you wish. Conclude your day with a leisurely dinner at the lodge this evening.

Day 09 :
Visit Mt Kenya Safari Club and Orphanage by air

Today, a morning flight takes you to your next destination, Mt. Kenya, where you will stay for two nights at the renowned Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. Originally established as a private retreat by actor William Holden in 1959, the club has hosted notable figures like Winston Churchill and Bing Crosby. Your adventure in Mt. Kenya kicks off with a game drive through the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, home to Africa's Big Five and the last two northern white rhinos. Enjoy exclusive access to a facility dedicated to breeding endangered black rhinos.

Day 10 :
Exploring Mount Kenya Wildlife experience

This morning, experience local culture with a private visit to a nearby village, where you can see villagers craft colorful stories into their handmade wool rugs, sweaters, and shawls. After lunch, enjoy a private tour of the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy and Animal Orphanage. This unique facility offers a sanctuary for orphaned, injured, or neglected wild animals, providing them with shelter and professional care in hopes of eventually releasing them back into the wild. This evening, join us for a private barbecue dinner under the stars on the lush, manicured lawns of the Mount Kenya Safari Club.

Day 11 :
Fly into the Magestic Masai Mara

Fly to the Masai Mara Game Reserve in southern Kenya, where Maasai warriors will greet you upon arrival. Enjoy lunch at the opulent Fairmont Mara Safari Club, where you will stay in an elegant tented camp for the next two nights. Spend the afternoon unwinding, swimming, and enjoying the views, getting familiar with the Safari Club and your luxury tented accommodations, reminiscent of the classic safaris of old. Later in the afternoon, set out on a game drive across the plains of "the Mara" to spot the local wildlife, which may include lions, antelopes, elephants, and zebras engaging in their natural behaviors. Return to camp for a briefing on the next day's hot air balloon adventure, followed by dinner.

Day 12 :
Hot air Baloon over Masai Mara

Today promises to be unforgettable as you wake before dawn to embark on a hot air balloon ride over the awakening plains of the Maasai Mara as the sun rises. Upon landing, a special champagne breakfast awaits you right in the bush—a truly spectacular experience, exclusively part of your Cyan Tours Kenya safari! Once back on the ground, continue your adventure with a drive back to camp, spotting lions, impalas, cheetahs, giraffes, and other beloved animals along the way. Enjoy lunch and a leisurely afternoon at the camp, followed by an early evening game drive through the bush. Later, return to your tented camp for dinner in the boma of the Fairmont Mara Safari Club.

Day 13 :
Fly to Kigali ,Rwanda

This morning, take a flight to Kigali Airport in Rwanda, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park and the lush habitat of endangered mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. After your late afternoon arrival at the Serena Hotel, enjoy dinner at your own pace.

Day 14 :
Volcanoes National Park

This morning, set off on a scenic drive through the countryside to Musanze, located at the base of Volcanoes National Park. This park is guarded by eight ancient volcanoes and is a sanctuary for diverse wildlife. Upon arrival, check into your traditional Rwandan lodge, which features grass-thatched roofs and is tucked beneath eucalyptus trees at the foothills of the Virunga Volcano range. After settling in and enjoying lunch, visit the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund Museum. There, you'll gain valuable insights into gorilla behavior to prepare for tomorrow’s trek and learn about Dian Fossey's remarkable efforts to protect the mountain gorillas.

Day 15 :
Gorilla Trek

Wake up early for a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you'll always remember. Head to the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park for a briefing from expert mountain guides who will answer any questions about your upcoming trek. Enjoy a dance performance and a boxed breakfast to set the tone for today's gorilla adventure. Next, board a safari vehicle to the trailhead where your trek will begin. A porter will assist you with carrying provisions and cameras, and lead you to the gorilla family you are scheduled to meet. Once you encounter the gorillas, you'll have the unique chance to observe their interactions up close, and perhaps even interact with them yourself. After your hour-long visit, return to the lodge for lunch and a relaxed afternoon. Later, a local expert will give an informative lecture about the endangered mountain gorillas you encountered. Conclude your day with a farewell reception and dinner at the lodge.

Day 16 :
Journey home

The tour concludes in Kigali. After breakfast, depart from your hotel and begin your return to Kigali. Along the way, stop to visit the Genocide Memorial Museum, where you can pay respects to the 800,000 Rwandans who perished during the 1994 atrocities and learn about Rwanda's journey towards healing and hope. Afterward, proceed to the Kigali Serena Hotel, where Cyan Tours Limited has arranged day rooms for your use until your evening flight. Complimentary airport transfers from the Kigali Serena Hotel to Kigali International Airport are included. Please allow at least four hours for airport check-in.
